My name is Erik Green and I am an English teacher and assistant baseball coach here at North Murray. The 2017-2018 school year will be my third year at the school. I am originally from Jacksonville, Alabama where I graduated from Pleasant Valley High School (1996) and Jacksonville State University (2014). I will finish my Master's Degree at Liberty University in 2018. I have lived in Georgia for the last seventeen years. I currently live in Chatsworth with my wife Angela and our daughter Sophia.

I enjoy reading good writing, regardless of genre. I find myself reading an awful lot of books about baseball. My favorite baseball books are: Ted Williams by Leigh Montville, Sandy Koufax: A Lefty's Legacy by Jane Leavy, and Moneyball by Michael Lewis. My favorite fiction author is Cormac McCarthy. My favorite book of his is The Road.

My hobbies include: spending time with family, watching sports, camping, reading, writing, and doing genealogical research.
